Remove crap from Context menus December 30, 2005
So this provides you with basic info. of how to remove unwanted items from context menus( menus that pop up when right clicked). I considered few of zipping softwares to explain this….
winzip adds many options like add to winzip file, open with winzip , add to recently used…..zip and email plus…..
if possible right click on certain file and click configure from where u can change the settings…..
or open winzip–options—–configuration—- explorer enhancements—-general
now uncheck the one which says “display icons on context menu” which is trivial.
and if prefered uncheck ” display context menu items in a submenu”
if checked the above one….u can choose the menu commands which appear on right side.
email option is rarely used…….so i prefer unchecking
zip and email, zip and email plus, email …
uncheck enable explorer enhancements and it will end your ability to drop items on a .zip file icon. When you’re done, click OK.
Winrar has lot of crap included in context menus….so
open winrar —tools—– settings —–integration—–shell integration—- context menu items
and choose those u like and uncheck others….
I dont think one can completely avoid context menu stuff in case of tugzip..so here is what one can do …
open tugzip —–options—–configuration——system—-check enable context menu items in a submenu
Depending on the softwares u install and use……the context menus change…thats the reason they are called context menus though….. so if u need to customize it just goto particular software and check for context menu word in options….the same is true for extensions

Some times context menus are really annoying…I do this all the time…but i prefer to keep most of the settings of winzip coz i use them often..
better say most of the times
i hate seeing long lists when i right click thanks for the info i can atleast get rid of the things made by winrar. I so hate them they even slow down my poor PC
